To preserve the vase over time, a few simple precautions are recommended. When used as a planter, always keep the drainage hole clear: place a 4–5 cm layer of gravel or coarse stones at the bottom of the vessel before adding soil, preventing compaction from blocking water outflow. Raise the vase 3–4 cm off the ground using feet or spacers so that the external drainage opening is never obstructed by the mounting surface.
In regions subject to frost, particular attention is required: if water is allowed to stagnate inside the vase and subsequently freeze, the resulting expansion can cause cracking. Ensuring free drainage at all times is the most effective preventive measure. Dimensions and weight are indicative.
