The Versilia is a large-format decorative garden vase that combines generous proportions with a refined classical silhouette. Standing 65 cm tall with an equally wide diameter of 65 cm, its broad, open rim and softly rounded body create a balanced, stately presence — equally at home as a standalone decorative element or as an elegant planter for terrace, garden, or villa settings.
The Versilia belongs to the tradition of the classic crater form: wide at the top, tapering gracefully toward the base, with a profile that draws the eye and anchors any outdoor composition. Its substantial weight — approximately 75 kg — gives it the solidity and permanence expected of a high-quality architectural garden piece.
Art. 161 is produced in agglomerato cementizio composed of Carrara marble granulate and white cement RCK 52.5 — a certified material that ensures exceptional density, surface uniformity, and long-term resistance to outdoor conditions. Every piece is hand-finished by skilled craftsmen at Italpark’s workshop in Borgo San Giacomo, Brescia, preserving the tactile quality and subtle texture that distinguish artisanal production from industrial casting.
The natural tones of Carrara marble granulate give the surface a warm, luminous finish that weathers beautifully over time, developing the gentle patina characteristic of authentic stone-based materials.
The Versilia is designed for decorative outdoor display in gardens, terraces, courtyards, and villa entrances. Its commanding scale makes it ideal as a focal point in a formal garden layout, placed symmetrically at the sides of a staircase or pathway, or as a freestanding sculptural element on a wide terrace. When used as a planter, its generous interior volume accommodates substantial root systems, making it suitable for ornamental shrubs, topiary, or seasonal flowering plants.
To ensure long-lasting performance, always keep the drainage hole clear: place a 4–5 cm layer of gravel or coarse stones at the bottom of the vase before adding soil. This prevents compaction and maintains free water flow. Raise the vase 3–4 cm off the ground using feet or spacers to prevent the external drainage hole from becoming blocked by the surface beneath.
In regions subject to frost, particular attention is required: water that pools and freezes inside the vase can cause cracking or structural damage. Ensure adequate drainage at all times during winter months, and consider emptying the vase of soil if prolonged freezing temperatures are expected.
