In ancient Greek mythology, Atlas was the Titan condemned by Zeus to carry the heavens upon his shoulders for eternity — one of the most enduring symbols of strength, endurance, and cosmic order in Western art. His image has inspired sculptors from antiquity through the Renaissance and Baroque periods, appearing in celebrated works such as the Farnese Atlas (Museo Archeologico Nazionale, Naples), one of the finest surviving examples of Roman sculpture depicting the Titan kneeling beneath the celestial sphere. The figure of Atlas has long been a defining presence in the decorative vocabulary of classical gardens and grand architectural settings across Europe.

This classical garden statue is crafted by Italpark in Borgo San Giacomo, Brescia, from an agglomerato cementizio composto da graniglia di marmo di Carrara e cemento bianco RCK 52,5 — a refined composite that captures the luminous, stone-like quality of traditional sculptural materials.
