The Terracotta Army of Xi’an is one of the most extraordinary archaeological discoveries of the 20th century. Unearthed in 1974 near the mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China (259–210 BC), the thousands of life-size warrior figures were crafted to guard the emperor in the afterlife. Each soldier displays unique facial features, rank insignia and posture, making the ensemble a timeless symbol of imperial power and ancient craftsmanship that continues to captivate the world.

Every detail of the warrior’s armour, stance and expression is hand-finished by skilled artisans in Borgo San Giacomo, Brescia, resulting in a refined decorative piece with a naturally luminous, stone-like surface.
