The Venus of Good Fortune draws its inspiration from one of antiquity’s most celebrated iconographic traditions, in which the goddess Venus — Aphrodite in the Greek world — was venerated not only as the embodiment of beauty and love, but also as a divine protectress of prosperity and fate. Representations of Venus associated with Fortuna were widespread throughout the Roman world, combining the grace of the goddess with symbols of abundance and good omen. This powerful symbolic union made her a recurring presence in the gardens and villas of the Roman aristocracy, where sculpture served both aesthetic and spiritual purposes.
Art. 516 is a large-format decorative sculpture crafted by Italpark in Borgo San Giacomo, Brescia, following an artisanal tradition established in 1968. Each piece is produced in an agglomerato cementizio composto da graniglia di marmo di Carrara e cemento bianco RCK 52,5, a carefully balanced compound that captures the luminous, fine-grained surface typical of classical marble statuary. Standing approximately 170 cm tall and weighing around 183 kg, this figure is hand-finished by skilled craftsmen to bring out the sculptural detail of the drapery, the posture, and the facial expression — every element refined with the care that defines 100% Made in Italy production.
