The Marseille Fountain (ART. 2401) is a monumental garden fountain in Carrara marble grit and white cement, hand-finished at the Borgo San Giacomo workshop in Brescia, Italy. With an external diameter of 400/420 cm, a height of 255 cm and a weight of 3,560 kg, it makes a powerful sculptural statement in villa gardens, private parks and prestigious spaces.
The stacked bowls create the fountain’s signature waterfall effect, with water gently overflowing from one tier to the next.
The circular border, with an internal diameter of 300 cm and a height of 48/57 cm, frames a water system that enhances the central sculptural subject. Water jets emerge from the top flower while four lateral jets animate the bas-relief horses, creating a scenographic effect of great elegance. For those unable to build an underground base, the fibreglass basin VV5 (Ø 300 cm, h 41 cm, 100 kg) is available as an optional accessory.
The water system is available in two configurations. Water Kit type 1 (ART. 2401 Ki1) includes pump, complete hydraulics for the flower jet, 4 horse jets and overflow TP02. Water Kit type 2 (ART. 2401 Ki2) adds a crown with 52 UG01 nozzles for greater scenic impact.
Two lighting kits are available. Lighting Kit type 1 (ART. 2401 KL1) includes 5 LED spotlights FL03 with transformer and connection box. Lighting Kit type 2 (ART. 2401 KL2) features 5 multicolor LED spotlights FLM03 with RC02 remote control for programmable colour effects.
The fountain operates on a closed circuit and requires no water mains connection. The automatic refill kit (ART. 2401 KRA) is available for permanent installations. Available in 11 finishes including natural white, antique white, tufo, terracotta, Black 2.0, Old London, bronze and Antiquariato Design 2.0. Made in Italy.
The fountain operates on a closed circuit and requires no water mains connection. It is important to top up the water regularly to keep the pump submerged at all times — the pump must never run dry.
To protect the pump and surfaces, regularly add an anti-scale and anti-algae product (e.g. art. CH02). Limescale on the pump rotor will void the warranty.
Clean the fountain periodically with water and a sponge, no more than once a year. A low-pressure jet washer may be used, but note: on finishes 2, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 11 it may remove the ageing patina. Finishes 7 and 10 (painted) require annual touch-ups with the paint supplied, applied by brush.
Periodically treat surfaces with a transparent water-repellent to slow natural ageing. Do not use detergents or degreasers on visible surfaces.
When temperatures drop below 3°C, completely drain all parts of the fountain: crown with nozzles, pipes, border and pump.
Cover the fountain with waterproof material to protect it during cold weather.
For installations in areas with particularly harsh winters, an additional waterproofing treatment is recommended (art. SI05).
