Art. 189 – Viterbo Garden Vase

The Viterbo model is a classic decorative garden vase with a generous, well-balanced silhouette — a wide, gently flared rim tapering down to a sturdy base that gives the piece a timeless, architectural presence. With a height of 56 cm (22.0”) and a diameter ranging from 40 to 55 cm, it commands attention without overpowering its surroundings, making it equally at home on a formal terrace, along a garden path, or as a focal point in a villa courtyard.

Every Viterbo vase is crafted from agglomerato cementizio composto da graniglia di marmo di Carrara e cemento bianco RCK 52,5 — a certified compound that combines the natural beauty of Carrara marble aggregate with the structural integrity of high-grade white cement. The result is a surface with a refined, stone-like texture that weathers gracefully through the seasons, developing a distinguished patina over time.

Each piece is hand-finished by skilled artisans at the Italpark workshop in Borgo San Giacomo, Brescia, ensuring consistent quality and the subtle character that only individual craftsmanship can produce. At approximately 80 kg (176.4 lbs), the Viterbo offers the reassuring solidity of a permanent garden feature.

Decorative Uses

The Viterbo vase is designed as a decorative element for outdoor spaces — it can be displayed empty as a sculptural accent, planted with seasonal flowers or ornamental shrubs, or used as a statement piece to define an entrance, frame a staircase, or anchor a terrace composition. Its classic proportions complement both traditional and contemporary garden designs.

Maintenance & Care

To preserve the vase and ensure proper drainage when used as a planter, always place 4–5 cm of gravel or pebbles at the bottom before adding soil — this keeps the drainage hole clear and prevents waterlogging. Raise the vase 3–4 cm off the ground using feet or spacers so that the drainage hole remains unobstructed from below.

In regions with harsh winters, take care to prevent water from collecting and freezing inside the vase: standing water that freezes can cause cracking. Ensuring free drainage at all times is the most effective precaution against frost damage.

100% Made in Italy Since 1968

Italpark Srl has been producing handcrafted decorative vases in Borgo San Giacomo, Brescia, since 1968. Every piece leaves the workshop as a genuine expression of Italian artisanal tradition — built to last, designed to enhance, and made entirely in Italy.
