The Pillar Base G. (ART. 814/B) is the foundation element of the modular Smooth Pillar G. system (ART. 814), designed to anchor and support the full decorative pillar composition. This base element is also fully compatible with the ART. 815 Martellinato G. and ART. 817 Gonzaga G. systems, making it a versatile starting point across the entire Grande family range. It pairs directly with shaft and cap components including ART. 814/C, ART. 814/E, ART. 815/C, and ART. 817/C, allowing you to compose a complete decorative pillar tailored to your architectural vision. Each element is hand-finished by skilled craftsmen at our workshop in Borgo San Giacomo, Brescia, continuing a tradition of artigianal production since 1968.

Manufactured from a certified cementitious compound of Carrara marble aggregate and white cement RCK 52.5, the ART. 814/B delivers the refined, luminous surface texture characteristic of the Liscio G. family. With dimensions of 56×56 cm (22″×22″) and a height of 46 cm (18.1″), this substantial base — weighing 220 kg (485 lbs) — provides a commanding visual presence at the foot of any decorative pillar composition. The internal bore of Ø 18–20 cm (7.1″–7.9″) is a dimensional feature of the element. Available in 11 surface finishes, the base can be coordinated with all compatible components across the Grande family systems for a fully unified decorative result.

Being an exclusively decorative element, the ART. 814/B is not intended for structural or load-bearing applications. For maintenance, periodic cleaning with water and a mild neutral detergent is recommended; avoid aggressive chemical products or abrasive tools that may alter the surface finish.
