A garden fountain made from reconstituted Carrara marble aggregate and white cement RCK 52.5 is not shipped like a parcel. Our fountains weigh between 300 and 5,700 kg, with the largest models at the top of that range. This guide explains exactly how our delivery process works, what to check before ordering, and how to prepare to receive your piece safely.

Reading this before ordering avoids surprises. We prefer informed customers to disappointed ones.

► 1. Production and delivery times

Every Italpark product is made to order at our workshop in Borgo San Giacomo, Brescia. We do not work from stock — every piece is produced after order confirmation.

Standard production time is 15 working days from order acceptance (items ART. 001–590). Transit time is added on top and varies depending on destination and carrier availability. Production times may be longer between March and September.

We do not provide precise delivery dates. Heavy freight carriers do not offer the punctuality of express couriers. We notify you when the shipment is handed to the carrier, who will contact you with 24 hours’ notice to agree on a delivery day.

► 2. Shipping costs

For standard destinations in mainland Italy, shipping costs are calculated automatically at checkout based on weight and destination. No hidden costs.

Shipping is free for orders over €3,000 to standard destinations. Excluded from free shipping:

  • Islands (Sicily, Sardinia, minor islands)
  • ZTL zones and historic centres not accessible to heavy vehicles
  • Remote areas or roads narrower than 6 metres
  • Columns and gazebos (always on request)

For islands and remote areas, we will contact you after the order with a dedicated shipping quote. For international shipping write to [email protected].

► 3. The delivery vehicle: what arrives at your door

Our shipments are entrusted to carriers specialised in heavy and fragile freight. We do not use standard express couriers (DHL, FedEx, BRT, GLS) because they are not equipped to handle pallets of 500–1,500 kg safely.

The carriers we use are small, specialised haulage companies. The trade-off is that they do not have online tracking systems. Coordination is done by phone — this is why a phone number is required at checkout.

The delivery vehicle is a truck with a tail lift, included in the shipping service. From the delivery point, moving the piece is the customer’s responsibility.

► 4. Road access requirements — check before ordering

Check the following before ordering:

  • Minimum road width: 5 metres. Narrower roads cannot be accessed.
  • Minimum height: 4 metres (branches, bridges, covered passages, garages).
  • Road surface load capacity: some private roads or unpaved tracks cannot bear the weight of a loaded truck.
  • Restricted traffic zones and historic centres: we arrange delivery to the nearest accessible point.
  • Gates and entrances: minimum opening adequate for the vehicle to pass.

If in doubt, write to [email protected] before ordering.

► 5. Unloading: what you need to have ready

The tail lift brings the pallet to the ground. From that point the carrier’s service is complete. Delivery is to ground floor or kerbside only.

Equipment needed by weight:

  • Up to 300 kg: manual pallet truck.
  • 300 to 800 kg: electric pallet truck or forklift.
  • Over 800 kg: forklift or mini-crane. Over 1,200 kg: professional crane required.

Never attempt to unload a heavy piece manually — the risk of product damage and personal injury is very high.

► 6. Assembly and installation

Italpark does not provide an installation service (we do not hold the licences or lifting equipment to work off-site). Positioning and assembly are the customer’s responsibility.

We provide full technical consultancy and detailed assembly instructions for every product, including pump connection guidance for working fountains and phone support during installation.

Working fountains operate on a closed circuit — no mains water connection required, just a nearby power outlet.

For specific project support: [email protected].

► 7. Checking your delivery — essential

Before signing the delivery document:

  1. Visually inspect the packaging — damage, moisture, pallet deformation.
  2. Always note on the delivery document: “SUBJECT TO INSPECTION” — even if the packaging appears intact.
  3. If damage is visible: do not sign, or sign with a specific written note.
  4. Photograph everything before removing the packaging.

Report any damage within 24 hours of delivery to [email protected] with photos.
