The Art. 292 mortar-shaped vase is a mid-size decorative element that brings a timeless classical character to any outdoor setting. Its wide, rounded body tapers toward a sturdy base, recalling the essential geometry of the traditional mortar — a form that has graced Italian gardens, terraces, and villa courtyards for centuries. With a height of approximately 25 cm and a diameter of around 40 cm, this piece strikes a confident balance between presence and versatility, fitting naturally as a standalone decorative accent or as a generous planter for seasonal flowers and ornamental plants.
Every vase is crafted from an agglomerato cementizio composed of Carrara marble granulate and white cement RCK 52.5 — a certified Italpark material that delivers exceptional density, surface texture, and long-term resistance to outdoor conditions. The fine marble aggregate gives the surface a warm, natural finish that ages gracefully through sun, rain, and frost, while the structural integrity of the mix ensures the vase retains its form season after season.
Ideal for garden compositions, terrace arrangements, and villa entrances, the Art. 292 works equally well as a purely decorative object — placed empty to define a space — or filled with soil and planted to add a living element to the composition. Its classical silhouette pairs effortlessly with both formal garden layouts and more relaxed Mediterranean-style outdoor environments. It is also available in a smaller size (Ø 29 cm × H 16 cm, approx. 10 kg).
To preserve the vase over time, always keep the drainage hole clear: place a 4–5 cm layer of gravel or pebbles at the bottom before adding soil. Raise the vase 3–4 cm off the ground using feet or spacers to prevent the external drainage hole from becoming blocked by the surface beneath. During winter months, take care to avoid water pooling inside the vase — if water stagnates and freezes, the resulting ice expansion may cause cracking. Ensuring proper drainage is the single most effective measure against frost damage.
The Art. 292 is hand-finished by skilled craftsmen at Italpark’s workshop in Borgo San Giacomo, Brescia — a family-run production that has been shaping decorative garden elements in 100% Made in Italy tradition since 1968. Dimensions and weight are indicative.
