The Art. 290 Salarno is a wide, low-profile decorative garden vase with a generous bowl shape and a broad, stable base — a timeless silhouette that suits both classical and contemporary outdoor settings. Its expansive diameter of Ø 48 cm and contained height of 25 cm (9.8”) give it a grounded, sculptural presence, making it equally striking as a standalone decorative element or as a planter for seasonal flowers and ornamental plants on a terrace, garden path, or villa entrance.
Crafted from an agglomerato cementizio composto da graniglia di marmo di Carrara e cemento bianco RCK 52,5, the Salarno vase combines the refined texture of authentic Carrara marble aggregate with the structural durability of high-grade white cement. The result is a surface with a natural stone aesthetic — subtly luminous, weather-resistant, and built to maintain its character through years of outdoor exposure across all seasons.
At approximately 35 kg (77.2 lbs), this vase offers excellent stability even in exposed positions. Its weight and material composition make it naturally resistant to wind displacement, while the dense cement matrix provides reliable protection against rain, UV exposure, and temperature fluctuations.
To preserve the vase in optimal condition, always ensure the drainage hole remains unobstructed: place a 4–5 cm layer of gravel or pebbles at the bottom before adding soil. Raise the vase 3–4 cm off the ground using feet or spacers to prevent the external drainage hole from becoming blocked by the surface beneath. During winter months, take care to avoid water pooling inside the vase — standing water that freezes can cause cracking and irreversible structural damage.
