Lion of St. Mark

The Leone di San Marco (Art. 794) is a decorative bas-relief panel measuring approximately 50×40 cm (W×H) and weighing around 25 kg, crafted from an agglomerato cementizio composto da graniglia di marmo di Carrara e cemento bianco RCK 52,5. Designed exclusively for decorative purposes, it is suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation on facades, garden walls, entrance portals, and architectural features of any style.

The Lion of St. Mark is one of the most iconic symbols in Western art and heraldry. The winged lion — attribute of the Evangelist Mark — became the emblem of the Serenissima Repubblica di Venezia, appearing on the famous bronze sculpture atop the column in Piazza San Marco since the 9th century. Depicted in its classic form with open wings, a halo, and one paw resting on the Gospel, this symbol has represented power, justice, and divine protection for centuries, leaving an indelible mark on the art and architecture of Venice and the territories once under its dominion.

This bas-relief integrates naturally into a wide range of architectural and landscape contexts.
