Aurora

Aurora, goddess of the dawn in Roman mythology, has inspired some of the most celebrated works in Western art. Among the most iconic representations is the Aurora by the Danish sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen (1770–1844), as well as the allegorical figure carved by Michelangelo for the Medici Chapel in Florence (c. 1524–1531), where she embodies the melancholy awakening of a new day. This classical garden statue is crafted by Italpark in Borgo San Giacomo, Brescia, following an artisanal tradition dating back to 1968. It is made from an agglomerato cementizio composto da graniglia di marmo di Carrara e cemento bianco RCK 52,5, a material that combines the refined luminosity of Carrara marble with the structural resilience required for outdoor use. Every detail is rifinita a mano by skilled craftsmen, ensuring the characteristic warmth and depth of surface that distinguishes a Made in Italy classical sculpture from mass-produced alternatives.
