Tulipano model vase

The Art. 231 Tulipano is a decorative outdoor vase whose silhouette draws inspiration from the elegant, upward-opening form of the tulip flower. The gently flared rim widens above a tapered body that narrows toward a sturdy circular base, creating a balanced profile that works equally well as a standalone decorative element or as a planter for seasonal flowers, small shrubs, or trailing plants.

With a height of 56 cm (22.0″) and a diameter of 41 cm, the Tulipano offers generous proportions without overwhelming the surrounding space. It suits a wide range of settings: garden borders, terrace corners, villa entrances, and courtyard compositions where a classical yet refined accent is desired. Its vertical emphasis draws the eye upward, making it an effective focal point whether placed alone or in symmetrical pairs flanking a doorway or pathway.

The vase is cast in agglomerato cementizio composto da graniglia di marmo di Carrara e cemento bianco RCK 52,5, the certified material that has defined Italpark’s production since 1968. The natural marble aggregate gives the surface a warm, luminous texture with subtle tonal variation, while the white cement matrix ensures structural density and long-term resistance to outdoor conditions. Every piece is hand-finished by skilled craftsmen at the Italpark workshop in Borgo San Giacomo, Brescia.

The weight of approximately 30 kg (66.2 lbs) provides excellent stability against wind and accidental contact, making the Tulipano a reliable choice for exposed terraces and open garden areas throughout all seasons.

Maintenance & Care

To preserve the vase and any planting inside it, always ensure the drainage hole remains unobstructed: place a 4–5 cm layer of gravel or coarse stones at the bottom of the pot before adding soil. Raise the vase 3–4 cm off the ground using feet or spacers to prevent the external drainage hole from being blocked by the surface beneath. In regions subject to frost, take particular care: if water accumulates and freezes inside the vase, the resulting expansion can cause cracking. Keeping drainage free is the single most effective precaution against frost damage.
