The Bilbao Fountain (ART. 2171) is a hand-finished ornamental water fountain designed for outdoor garden settings. Crafted from Carrara marble granules and white cement using an artisanal technique refined since 1968, it features a generous square footprint of 130×130 cm and stands approximately 34 cm tall, with an indicative weight of around 312 kg. Its circular bordering and clean architectural lines make it a refined centrepiece for both private gardens and public green spaces.
To bring the Bilbao Fountain to life as a fully functioning water feature, the Water Kit Type 1 (ART. 2171 Ki1) provides everything needed: a submersible pump, a bell nozzle (art. UG14), and complete hydraulic fittings. This kit is part of Italpark’s range of functional fountain systems produced since 1995, ensuring reliable and tested hydraulic performance.
Illumination options are available to enhance the fountain’s visual impact at dusk and after dark. The Lighting Kit Type 1 (ART. 2171 KL1) includes 2 LED spotlights (art. FL01), 2 spotlight holders with fischer fixings, a transformer, and a connector box for a clean white-light effect. For a more dynamic atmosphere, the Lighting Kit Type 2 (ART. 2171 KL2) upgrades the setup with 2 multicolor RGB spotlights (art. FLM01), 2 spotlight holders with fischer fixings, a transformer, a connection box, and a remote control for full colour customisation.
An optional fibreglass basin (ART. VV20 — approx. 31×87×87 cm, approx. 13 kg) is available as a separate accessory to facilitate installation and water containment beneath the fountain structure. All measurements and weights are to be considered indicative.
The fountain operates with a closed-circuit pump: no water connection required. Regularly top up the water level and never run the pump dry. Regularly add descaler and anti-algae product (art. CH02) to protect the pump. Limescale on the rotor will void the warranty. Clean with water and a sponge, maximum once a year.
Below 3°C, completely drain all water from the circular border, pipes and pump. Cover the fountain with waterproof material. For areas with particularly harsh winters, apply an additional waterproofing treatment (art. SI05).
