The Gonzaga G. Pillar (ART. 817) is the most imposing column in the Gonzaga G. family — a complete, modular decorative pillar reaching 290 cm (114 in) in height and 1,100 kg (2,425 lbs) in total weight, designed for monumental entrances, grand gates, historic villas, and prestigious residential properties. Crafted from cementitious aggregate composed of Carrara marble grit and white cement RCK 52.5, each element is hand-finished by skilled artisans at Italpark Srl in Borgo San Giacomo, Brescia — a tradition of Italian craftsmanship maintained since 1968.
The pillar is assembled by stacking four distinct components, each available separately for replacement or custom configuration. The system begins with the ART. 814/B Base (h 46 cm / 18 in, 56×56 cm / 22×22 in, 220 kg / 485 lbs), which provides the decorative foundation. Above it, multiple ART. 817/C Gonzaga G. Elements (h 26 cm / 10 in, 48.5×48.5 cm / 19×19 in, 90 kg / 198 lbs each) are stacked to build the shaft, giving the column its characteristic profile. The composition is crowned by the ART. 814/E Capital (h 36 cm / 14 in, 50×50 cm / 20×20 in, 160 kg / 353 lbs), and finished at the top with the ART. 814/F Sphere (Ø 20 cm / 8 in, 6 kg / 13 lbs) as a refined decorative finial. All components feature an internal bore of Ø 18–20 cm (7–8 in) as a dimensional technical feature of the system.
The Gonzaga G. Pillar is fully compatible with ART. 814 and ART. 815 pillars from the same family, as well as with all individual components — ART. 814/B, ART. 817/C, ART. 814/E, and ART. 814/F — allowing flexible decorative configurations for symmetrical entrances and paired gate posts. Available in 11 surface finishes, the pillar adapts to a wide range of architectural styles, from classical to contemporary, ensuring a cohesive aesthetic across any outdoor decorative project.
Being an outdoor decorative element exposed to weathering, the Gonzaga G. Pillar benefits from periodic treatment with a transparent water-repellent impregnator suitable for cement-based materials.
