TRANSPORTATION OF GOODS

Our goods, unless otherwise agreed by e-mail, are shipped Ex Works. Transportation is at the recipient’s expense.

Packing of goods is done with wooden straw or with bubble polyurethane foam and polystyrene protectors suitable for cushioning the blows of transportation.

Remember that sometimes carriers do not take the necessary care when transshipping goods. The shipper (by law) cannot be held responsible. Since 15/10/2010, due to the new transportation code, insured goods in order to get a refund MUST have on the delivery note the clause “I RESERVE TO CHECK THE GOODS” handwritten by the consignee. In case of lack of this clause on the bill returned to the courier, the same has the right to reject any claim for “goods accepted in the state of delivery seza exceptions”; therefore, we recommend that you personally write this clause upon receipt of the goods without which it will not be possible to forward a claim to the courier in case of damage to the goods (not even if the goods travel insured). We strongly recommend that the above clause be inserted EVEN IN CASE OF INTEGRATED PACKAGING.

INSTRUCTIONS IN CASE OF DAMAGED GOODS

Please also communicate this procedure to your clients/suppliers who receive material under your responsibility. We remind you of the procedure provided by our network to be followed when unloading material.

1) CHECK THE NUMBER

Verify that the number of packages delivered by the Courier matches the number listed on the shipping document.

2) CHECK THE PACKAGING

VerificThat the packaging is not damaged , bagnator altered in any way, including sealing seals ( adhesivetape, metal strapping,etc.).

– Shortages from intact and sealed pallets are not compensable. Extreme care is required in checking the condition of pallets and reporting any obvious damage immediately. The Courier will countersign the damage report from the customer. This step is absolutely necessary or the insurance claim cannot be opened.

VISIBLE DAMAGE.

In cases where the damage is visible at the time of delivery, the recipient of thegoodsshall:

1) Mark a SPECIFIC BREAKAGE CONTROL RESERVE on the waybill.
For insurance purposes, it is important that this remark be as specific as possible and all anomalies
detected on delivery are noted. A generic reservation on the waybill is of no value to insurance companies.

2) Mustbeincluded in the report detailed photographs of the damagedgoods, with the pallet intact and before they

Thegoodsare removed from the pallet.

Only after initial photographic documentation and completion of the waybill can the pallet be opened to verify the extent of the damage.

It is important that these markings be written on the individual waybill or on the car letters if there is more than one and NOT on the accompanying invoice.

OCCULDDAMAGE.

In cases where the damage is not visible at the time of delivery, but still attributable to transportation, the recipient of the goods shall:

1) Include detailed photographs of the material while it is still placed on the pallet, i.e., at the time the damage was detected while the material was being unpacked.

2) There are 7 calendar days (including Saturdays and Sundays – the delivery date marked on the courier’s waybill will be used) to report concealed damage.

It is imperative that the recipients of the goods be kept up to date on how to initiate the refund file in the event of damage occurring during the transportation of the material.

AFTER THE COURIER WAYBILL IS SIGNEDWITHOUT ANY REPORT,IN CASE OF OBVIOUSDAMAGE,DETECTABLE AT THE TIME OF DELIVERY OF THEMATERIAL,THE CUSTOMER CAN NO LONGER DISPUTE THEINTEGRITY OF THEMATERIAL.

PLEASE NOTE:
1. Used goods shall always remain excluded from any form of compensation.
2. In order to obtain compensation, we have the burden of proving that the goods have been properly palletized, properly packaged according to type (sturdy boxes, pallets suitable to bear the weight) and perfectly sealed, including the top.
3. In the case of shipments of machinery or bulky goods, it will not be sufficient to place them on pallets, protected only by stretch film and avoiding their fragility on the transport document; they will have to travel on pallets, possibly larger than the good itself, protected by padding or wooden cages
