Allegrain

The Baigneuse by Christophe-Gabriel Allegrain (1710–1795) stands as one of the finest expressions of French Neoclassical sculpture. Completed around 1767 and today preserved at the Musée du Louvre in Paris, the work depicts a young woman caught in a moment of quiet intimacy — her posture graceful and contemplative, her drapery falling with studied naturalism. Allegrain, a pupil of Guillaume Coustou and brother-in-law of Jean-Baptiste Pigalle, brought to this figure a delicate sensibility that bridges the elegance of the Rococo with the measured restraint of Neoclassicism. The statue became celebrated for its serene femininity and the refined treatment of the human form.

Italpark's Art. 445 is a faithful decorative reproduction of this iconic figure, crafted in Borgo San Giacomo (Brescia) using an agglomerato cementizio composto da graniglia di marmo di Carrara e cemento bianco RCK 52,5. Each piece is individually cast and rifinita a mano by skilled artisans, following a production tradition uninterrupted since 1968. The result is a surface with a warm, stone-like texture that captures the sculptural volumes and the soft drapery of the original with remarkable fidelity. At approximately 156 cm in height and around 230 kg, the statue commands a strong, dignified presence.

Ideal for formal gardens, villa courtyards, and landscaped terraces, Art. 445 brings the timeless atmosphere of European Neoclassical sculpture to any outdoor setting. Whether positioned as a focal point along a garden path, framed by hedging, or placed within a niche, this figure lends an air of refined elegance and cultural depth to the surrounding space. A 100% Made in Italy decorative piece, designed to enrich gardens and outdoor environments with enduring classical beauty.
