Art. 573 – Nicchia: A Sacred Presence for Your Outdoor Space

The tradition of the devotional niche is deeply rooted in Italian culture, where sacred figures sheltered within an arched recess have long adorned the facades of homes, garden walls, and villa courtyards. This architectural and spiritual form — refined over centuries of religious art — transforms any outdoor setting into a place of quiet contemplation and timeless beauty.

Art. 573 is crafted by Italpark's artisans in Borgo San Giacomo, Brescia, from a cementitious compound of Carrara marble granules and white cement RCK 52.5. Each piece is hand-finished to bring out the delicate surface texture and refined detailing that distinguish genuine Italian craftsmanship. Standing approximately 120 cm (47.2'') tall and weighing around 90 kg (198.5 lbs), this niche offers a substantial, commanding presence while remaining a purely decorative element designed for outdoor display.

Ideal for gardens, terraces, and villa entrances, the Nicchia integrates naturally into both formal and informal outdoor settings. Whether positioned against a stone wall, nestled among climbing roses, or placed as a focal point along a garden path, it brings a sense of devotion and classical Italian elegance to any exterior space. A Made in Italy piece produced with the same artisanal dedication Italpark has maintained since 1968.
