Water carrier

The water-bearer is one of the most enduring archetypes in classical sculpture, representing the graceful figure of a young woman carrying or pouring water — a symbol of abundance, purity, and life. This iconography flourished throughout Greco-Roman antiquity and was later revived during the Renaissance and Neoclassical periods, when sculptors across Europe celebrated the theme in marble and bronze. The pose — serene, balanced, often caught in a moment of quiet movement — embodies an ideal of feminine elegance that has remained timeless across centuries of Western art.

Italpark's Art. 412 Acquaiola is a faithful decorative reproduction crafted in Borgo San Giacomo, Brescia, using an agglomerato cementizio composto da graniglia di marmo di Carrara e cemento bianco RCK 52,5. Each piece is individually finished by hand, allowing skilled artisans to preserve the delicate surface detail — the soft drapery, the gentle contour of the figure, the naturalistic rendering of the vessel. Standing approximately 130 cm tall and weighing around 95 kg, this statue carries the solidity and presence of a true sculptural work, with the warm, luminous tone characteristic of Carrara marble aggregate. It is also available in a more compact 105 cm size (approx. 49 kg), for smaller outdoor spaces.

A statement piece for formal gardens, villa courtyards, and terraced outdoor spaces, the Acquaiola brings classical refinement to any setting. Whether positioned as a focal point along a garden path, framed by hedging, or placed beside a reflecting pool, her presence evokes the timeless atmosphere of an Italian estate. Entirely Made in Italy, produced with uninterrupted artisanal tradition since 1968.
