Maintenance & Care

To preserve the integrity of your Tiberio vase when used as a planter, always keep the drainage hole clear: place a 4–5 cm layer of gravel or pebbles at the bottom of the vase before adding soil. This prevents root compaction from blocking water outflow.

Raise the vase 3–4 cm off the ground using feet or spacers to ensure the external drainage hole is never obstructed by the surface beneath. In regions with harsh winters, this precaution is especially important: if water accumulates and freezes inside the vase, the resulting expansion can cause cracking. Ensuring free drainage at all times is the most effective way to protect the vase from frost damage.
