Anfora mod. Italia (classica)

ART. 340 — Anfora mod. Italia: A Timeless Classic for Garden and Villa

The Anfora mod. Italia is one of the most iconic decorative garden vases in the Italpark collection — a monumental piece that brings the elegance of classical Mediterranean forms to any outdoor setting. Standing at an impressive 158 cm in height with a generous Ø 80 cm diameter, this amphora commands attention whether placed at the entrance of a villa, along a garden path, or as a centrepiece on a wide terrace.

Its silhouette draws from the great tradition of ancient Italian amphora design: a tall, tapering body that swells gracefully toward the shoulder, then narrows into a defined neck before opening into a wide, rounded rim. The proportions are bold yet refined, perfectly balanced between decorative grandeur and classical restraint. Every curve has been carefully considered to create a sense of timeless harmony.

Material: Certified Italpark Composition

The Anfora mod. Italia is crafted from agglomerato cementizio composto da graniglia di marmo di Carrara e cemento bianco RCK 52,5 — the certified Italpark material that has defined the quality of the brand since its founding. The natural Carrara marble granulate gives the surface a distinctive luminosity and a refined texture, subtly different in every light, while the high-strength white cement ensures exceptional durability against the elements.

This composition makes the vase naturally resistant to UV exposure, rain, and temperature variations, maintaining its beauty year-round without the need for special treatments.

Decorative Uses

With its commanding scale and classical character, the Anfora mod. Italia is an ideal decorative focal point for formal gardens, historic villas, luxury hotels, and prestigious private residences. It can be displayed as a pure sculptural element — empty, to let its form speak for itself — or used as a large outdoor planter for ornamental plants, topiaries, or seasonal flowers.

Its weight of approximately 413 kg (910.7 lbs) ensures exceptional stability even in exposed positions, making it a permanent and authoritative presence in any landscape composition. Indicative dimensions: H 158 cm (62.2''), Ø 80 cm; weight values are indicative.

Maintenance and Care

To preserve the integrity of this vase over time, a few simple precautions are recommended. When used as a planter, always keep the drainage hole clear: place a 4–5 cm layer of gravel or pebbles at the bottom of the vase before adding soil, to prevent the hole from becoming blocked by earth.

It is also important to raise the vase 3–4 cm from the ground — using feet, wedges, or a suitable base — to ensure that the external drainage hole is never obstructed by the surface beneath. Standing water that cannot drain freely poses a significant risk: in cold climates, water trapped inside the vase can freeze and expand, potentially causing cracks or structural damage. Ensuring proper drainage at all times is the single most effective measure to protect your investment.
