Lion Pair with Shield

Pair of Lions with Shield – Decorative Garden Sculpture

The lion has been one of the most enduring symbols in Western art and heraldry for centuries. Representing strength, nobility, and protection, lion figures have adorned the entrances of palaces, noble residences, and public monuments throughout Europe since the Renaissance. Paired lions flanking a shield are a classic motif of heraldic tradition, evoking the grandeur of aristocratic architecture and the timeless language of decorative stonework.

This pair of decorative lions is crafted by Italpark Srl in Borgo San Giacomo, Brescia, using an agglomerato cementizio composto da graniglia di marmo di Carrara e cemento bianco RCK 52,5. Each piece is individually cast and rifinita a mano by skilled artisans, ensuring that every detail — from the mane's texture to the shield's surface — reflects the quality of a truly 100% Made in Italy production, carried on since 1968.

With an approximate height of 54 cm (21.3'') and a base of roughly 33 x 19 cm, these lion sculptures are ideally suited to enhance the entrance of a villa, garden, or terrace. It is also available in a smaller 40 cm size (base approx. 23 x 16 cm, approx. 32 kg). Positioned symmetrically at a gate, along a pathway, or at the foot of a staircase, they bring a distinguished heraldic character to any outdoor setting. The natural white tone of the Carrara marble grit blends harmoniously with both classic and contemporary garden designs.
