Guardian Angel (Cupid)

The Guardian Angel — known in Italian devotional tradition as Angelo Custode — is one of the most beloved figures in sacred iconography. Depicted here in the gentle form of a cherub or amorino, this angelic presence has inspired artists, sculptors and craftsmen for centuries, symbolising divine protection, innocence and spiritual guidance. From Renaissance altarpieces to Baroque garden ornaments, the cherub angel has long held a place of honour in both sacred and domestic spaces.

This decorative sculpture is crafted by Italpark Srl in Borgo San Giacomo, Brescia, using an agglomerato cementizio composto da graniglia di marmo di Carrara e cemento bianco RCK 52,5. Each piece is rifinita a mano by skilled artisans, following a production tradition that dates back to 1968. The result is a figure of refined surface texture and delicate detail, with the characteristic warm luminosity of Carrara marble grit that weathers beautifully in outdoor conditions.

Standing approximately 55 cm tall (21.7'') on a 24 × 24 cm base and weighing around 56 kg (123.5 lbs), this Guardian Angel is perfectly proportioned for a garden niche, terrace corner or villa entrance. Its compact footprint and substantial weight ensure a stable, dignified presence among flower beds, along pathways or beside a garden bench. A timeless sacred accent for any outdoor space seeking a touch of spiritual serenity and Italian artisanal quality.
